Every year in autumn the Viennale, Austria’s most important international film event changes Vienna’s cityscape: Viennale posters everywhere, crowds of people in front of the most beautiful cinemas of the city and concerts + parties in the festival centre. In figures: 14-days film program, up to 90.000 visitors in total, approx. 6,000 per festival day.
This is our 7th year in being responsible as digital agency for the viennale.at web portal. And the online performance figures are impressive as well. The “Viennale festival website” registers more than 1 million page impressions in 4 weeks with an average session duration of approx. 7 minutes. The first run on the website starts with the publication of the festival program and continues until the closing film. A highlight: the start of ticket presales with up to 1,600 page requests per second, when everybody push the refresh button at the same time.
So, we at CYLEDGE love the Viennale! This festival is a great place to be (in the dark) with a lot of films worth checking. Every year, we see something that tickles our fancy, blows our mind, rocks our world.
